The Narrow Fairway
Sammy travelled repeatedly between the Philippines and Thailand to pursue qualification. On the opening day of Q-School, his first drive found the water. Through four holes, he was five over par — months of work disappearing in less than an hour. He reached his breaking point.
Then came a moment that revealed more than any swing ever could. A misunderstanding of a local rule led him to lift his ball illegally. Nobody else would have known. He could have stayed silent. Instead, he called the penalty on himself.
He completed the demanding four-day examination at eight over par, becoming the first Filipino to finish this fully qualified PGA of Thailand pathway. The credential mattered. The character he built mattered more.
He may be the first. The mission is to ensure he will not be the last.
Coach Sammy will personally head the initial programs while mentoring the next generation of Filipino Black Hat coaches — who will be expected to understand the complete philosophy and carry it forward with integrity.
