It All Started With The Black Hat
As a teenager, Tony Meechai chose to wear a black hat — not only for the sun, but because it reminded him of a magician’s iconic hat. He was captivated by how magicians could create wonder and excitement through principles that, once revealed, were often beautifully simple.
That realization never left him. Years later, it would reshape how he understood golf — and ultimately, how he would teach it to the world.
Golf had become overly complicated. But its greatest truths were always beautifully simple.
Through decades of coaching and studying the game across Asia and beyond, Tony discovered that golfers were drowning in mechanics, positions, and confusion. He set out to change that. With a vision rooted in clarity, he established Black Hat Golf — a platform to promote the magic of the game through education, training, wellness, charity, and community service.

The COVID-19 Reflection
During the lockdown, Tony reflected deeply on health, purpose, and longevity. He saw that golfers over 40, 50, and 60 still hungered for growth — and he knew the mission had to evolve.
